Meet S Stephanie
2026 Graylag Artist Residency
We are happy to welcome S Stephanie as an upcoming Artist in Residence! S is an accomplished writer and we are honored to have her share her talents here at Graylag.
In September, S will be hosting the Walking With Nature Workshop, a hands-on program that will inspire participants to connect with nature and to translate the experience into words. Register below!
S Stephanie’s poetry, fiction and book reviews have appeared in many literary magazines including Birmingham Poetry Review, Café Review, Cease, Cows, Clover & Bee, Hole in the Head Review, Iowa Review, One, Rattle, St. Petersburg Review, Southern Indiana Review, The Southern Review, The Sun, Third Coast, Turtle Island Review, Dream Pop, Hamilton Stone Review, and many anthologies. She has three chapbooks out. She holds an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Art and has taught poetry and writing on both the community and college level for years. She is included on the NH Humanities Common Grounds Teaching Artist Roster. She has served on many boards including the NH Poet Laureate, Portsmouth Poet Laureate, and Friends of the Rollinsford Public Library. She has also been a judge and coach in the NH Poetry Out Loud Program for 12 years. She is a retired nurse and English/Literature teacher, but still teaches creative writing workshops on the community level and organizes community events on the Seacoast.
