Painting Landscapes with Textures
Hosted by Artist Alexis Stefano
Create a unique landscape by “painting” with textures!
Students will start with exploratory exercises in mark making and expressive color. The class will look at examples of selective color and composition before using a stress-free method to sketch their own unique landscape from a photograph. By the end of class, students will have a finished, or mostly finished, 8×8 inch piece.
Students may bring a printed photo of a landscape they would like to work on, or use a provided one. All other materials are provided. Students will primarily use the provided watercolors and colored pencils, but are welcome to bring any supplemental materials that will work on a paper surface.
Registration is free, but donations are welcome!
