Nature Prints

With Artist in Residence Michele Johnsen

Discover how to turn the natural wonders you find on a walk—leaves, plants, and other materials—into beautiful prints.

Join us for Nature Prints, a hands-on workshop led by artist in residence Michelle Johnsen, where participants will take a short walk along the preserve’s scenic trails to gather natural materials like leaves and plants, observing their unique shapes and textures. Back in the studio, we’ll use these found treasures to create beautiful nature prints, exploring techniques for layering and arranging items into pleasing designs. Expect a fun, messy, and creative process, so bring an apron or old shirt! This workshop is perfect for anyone who enjoys art and the outdoors.

What to Bring:

  • An apron, smock, or old shirt (this could get messy!)
  • Optional: rubber surgical gloves for keeping hands clean, bug spray

When: Saturday, September 6, 10am-12pm

Where: Graylag Nature Preserve, 320 Clough Road, Pittsfield, NH. We will meet at Midway Cabin.

Who: Open to adults and children 8+ accompanied by an adult. Limited to 12 participants. No experience necessary.
