Land Art / Art in Nature
Menu
One of the delights at Graylag is the appearance of sculptures and land art (arrangements of rocks to engage our senses) in the woods, atop boulders, and nestled among the flowers. These artistic creations were put in place to encourage us stop, look more closely, consider the beauty all around us, and see the connections between humans and nature.
"Our ability to perceive quality in nature begins, as in art, with the pretty. It expands through successive stages of the beautiful to values as yet uncaptured by language."
— Aldo Leopold
